Event:

• the current economic downturn as reflected in a lack of profits for local restaurants;
• water and electrical damage (additional expense) due to Hurricane Irene, which affected some of our key restaurants and other businesses we depend on to buy Journal ads or donate items for our Silent Auction;

we are forced to cancel the event this year.  We postponed making this decision as long as we possibly could.  We hope that next year things will be different and we will be able continue hosting this popular event. Thanks to all our friends who have made this event possible in the past.
