We serve up to 32 chemically dependent pregnant and/or postpartum women and their children, birth to 4 years old. We also provide counseling services to family members on an as needed basis. SERVICES:
- Mothers come to the program every weekday with their children. The mother participates in a chemical dependency treatment program; while the children are cared for in our on-site nursery. Mothers and children eat lunch together in a family-style dining room, and mothers attend daily parenting classes.
- The treatment offered is holistic in nature. Counseling services include individual sessions with a primary counselor, group sessions, conjoint sessions with family members and/or significant others if needed. Additional services include parenting classes, home management workshops, case management, transportation to and from the program as well as to important appointments during the day, vocational/educational counseling.
- Our on-site nursery is separated from the treatment space and is staffed by a registered nurse and several parent aides. Infants are assessed for developmental milestone achievements and appropriate referrals are made if services are needed.
